Our volunteers make a world of difference! Whether you're helping out in the classroom, assisting at special events, or chaperoning field trips, your time and support directly enrich our students’ learning experience.
Want to volunteer? Here’s how to get started:
📝 Step 1: Register online at www.houstonisd.org/vips
🧭 Step 2: Complete the required orientation and background check
✅ Step 3: Once cleared, you’ll be eligible to volunteer on our campus!
Important Reminders:

All volunteers must register and be approved every school year—it does NOT carry over

The approval process takes at least one week, so register early, especially before field trips or major events

No on-the-spot approvals are allowed; pre-registration is required
